This may look really funny, but this thing gets around the California Assault Weapons laws. No bullet button. No Flash hider. No vertical grip. No folding/collapsing stock.
SACRAMENTO (AP) — A federal judge on Thursday blocked a California law set to take effect Saturday that would have barred gun owners from possessing high-capacity ammunition magazines.
Very interesting. President Trump is carvings out AR-15s and 30 round mags as legal in all states.
“(a) The AR-15 and similar semi-automatic rifles, to include flash suppressors and bayonet lugs, magazines of up to thirty round capacities, M-7 bayonets, and ammunition in 5.56 NATO or .223 Remington, in all quantities.”
Also M1A and Garanad rifles and bolt actions in US military calibers. I think the m1a is an error since it is a single companies trademark and it should list m14 type semiautomatic weapons.
Weird little details that I don’t know why they are in there, Listing m-7 bayonet but not m9 or an okc3s? Only .223 AR-15s? So my Grendels or .300 BLK wont be protected. Does this include AR-15 Pistols? There is a clause about “made in america” which I find funny since FN Herstal in Belgium is one of our largest military suppliers of M4A1 rifles (the current ar15 equivalent in our military).
He should go a step further and list a few handguns like the Beretta 92/m9, Sig 230, and the venerable 1911.
Still this is massively awesome. States will fight it. There will be law suits. Props to President Trump if he goes forward with it.
Deputy Director Ronald Turk sets forth “points for discussion” that include his opinion that the continued inclusion of suppressors under National Firearms Act (NFA) regulations is “archaic” and “should be reevaluated.”
The white paper is called, “Options to Reduce or Modify Firearms Regulations.” And may go into effect in march. It reduces restrictions on suppressors and importation of military style firearms. win win
The intent was to stem the mass sale of AR-15 type weapons to CA citizens. And they failed. The law was signed a day ago and the solution to make an AR-15 compliant is already here. Good job you stupid law makers.
After a bit of down time I got the replacement extruder and a new fan and Im good to go. Here it is printing some 3d models from the game StarCraft II. Its looking strong enough to start printing BPM11 parts.
